The Kennedy Center

National and International Advancement Intern

Department description

The National and International Advancement teams work to steward over 200 major donors to the Center. These donors are involved with three different committees: the Kennedy Center International Committee on the Arts (KCICA), the National Committee for the Performing Arts (NCPA), and the President's Advisory Committee on the Arts (PACA). The team works to handle their gift agreements and acknowledgements, as well as increase their involvement with the Center. The Committees hold annual meetings each year. The team works to plan, prepare, and execute these meetings across the country and the world.

Project description

The Spring 2019 intern will assist with the daily operations of the National and International Advancement teams, including writing letters to donors, drafting briefings of prospective donors for internal review, organizing and digitizing files, and conducting research. The successful applicant will also be instrumental in the logistical and material preparations for spring and summer committee meetings, to be held both in the US and abroad.
