Department description

The Kennedy Center Theater Producing and Programming department is responsible for the presentation and production of well over 15 theatrical engagements a year. From national and international tour companies, to Kennedy Center produced works, we ensure that our Nation's Performing Arts Center shines as one of the brightest lights in the theatrical world.

Project description

The Theater Producing and Programming Intern will contribute to the following projects during their internship experience:

Company Management Support: Intern will liaise with and support incoming Company Managers for national and international touring shows. Responsibilities include creating and maintaining guest artist lists, updating company management information packets, and ensuring that guest artists have a pleasant and easy experience navigating the Kennedy Center.

Production Support: Intern will work with Theater Producing and Programming team to produce semi-staged concert musicals. Responsibilities include assisting on artist hospitality set up, scheduling artists travel and managing accommodations, managing ticketing requests, processing payments, and other duties as assigned.
