The Kennedy Center Human Resources (HR) Department serves an employee population that includes Federal employees, full-time and part-time Trust employees, and over 10 collective bargaining units. The HR department works to strengthen the culture by fostering an environment of equity, inclusion and diversity that motivates, inspires, and engages its employees to do their best work. Our goal is to ensure the right people are in the right place, and employees are developed and recognized, and provided a rewarding set of experiences.

Project description

The Kennedy Center Human Resources Intern will have the opportunity to support activities and initiatives related to culture, HR policies and procedures, training, recruitment, HR office administration. The HR Intern will gain valuable experience through exposure to various HR functions and will interact with an array of KC employees from junior to senior level staff. Intern projects may include supporting HR team in preparing for and administering employee engagement events, assisting with procedures related to recruitment, and the streamlining of HR office administration processes. The HR intern will learn the skills of adaptability necessary within the operations of a full service HR department. Successful candidate will be a team player, results oriented, an excellent communicator, and possess a consistently positive demeanor in all interactions. This is a great opportunity to enhance skills in organization, multi-tasking, communications, and learn about Human Resources operation.
