Production Intern

Department description

The Production Department supports the 2500 annual shows and special events at the Kennedy Center. These events include: Broadway touring shows, major ballet and modern dance companies, the NSO concerts, WNO operas, Theater for-Young Audiences, as well as comedy, hip-hop, and other events. The internship is recommended for talented individuals interested in stage or production management as well as technical direction. Knowledge of AutoCad, SketchUp, and Vectorworks is helpful.

Project description

The Production Intern is an integral member of the Department. The intern will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of shows and events, as well as acquiring skills in logistics, advancing, and scheduling upcoming engagements. Highlights of the Fall internship include working on the televised Mark Twain Awards and Kennedy Center Honors, as well as the inaugural season of the REACH.
